Asia is the reason why our food tastes so good. The spices, the ingredients, the recipes, all the flavors we know beyond salt and pepper, was found in Asian cuisine.

That was before.

Now Asia is used for technological manufacturing.

Spain also had one of the largest fleets to conduct their trading activity.

For the same reason that you get your computer components from there. Asia had things that Spanish citizens wanted, including tea, porcelain, spices, rice, etc.
